Flour Buttermilk Powder Salt Soda** Cream of Tartar Shortening Milk
Cut shortening into the dry, then
mix in milk. Knead a few times to get to a
ball shape Pat out on lightly floured
board to inch thick or so. Cut with sharp cutter, push
down then turn.
Bake 400 for 15 minutes.

add one whipped egg white for shortcake

Baking Powder can be a replacement
*** May take
another 1/2 cup, if it does not shape into a ball, add more.
Water can be used for milk, not as rich, but make sure the powder is
added to the flour.
For a change, dust the top with honey powder before baking.
